Softening EV target in UK adds CO2 emissions and cuts investment, warns trade body

Slashing the mandate for the rollout of electric vehicles (EVs) in the UK would increase CO2 emissions by 71 million tonnes if the 80% target for 2030 is cut down to just 50%, according to a trade body.
