abatify lets customers see and offset their carbon footprint — instantly, simply, transparently.
Imagine: Your customer's cart at checkout
Product | Qty | Price ($) | Total |
---|---|---|---|
Eco Water Bottle | 1 | 15.99 | 15.99 |
Reusable Tote Bag | 2 | 7.50 | 15.00 |
(This is a demo. The offset amount and carbon footprint are calculated deterministically for the same cart.)
How Abatify Works
🛒 Step 1: Build Your Cart
Customers shop as usual. At checkout, abatify calculates the carbon footprint of the entire cart and shows an optional toggle to offset it.
✅ Step 2: Choose to Offset
If the user selects "Yes", the emissions data is transmitted to abatify. After purchase, the merchant confirms the transaction and sends us order metadata.
📜 Step 3: Certificate Issuance
abatify generates a digital carbon offset certificate, backed by carbon credits on a major registry, with a unique abatify Certificate Number representing the carbon avoided.
🔍 Step 4: Public Registry
Buyers can use the abatify Certificate Number to search our public registry and verify emission quantities and retirement details of the carbon credits used.
📊 Step 5: Merchant Dashboard
We're building a dashboard for merchants to view monthly carbon offset activity, track total offsets funded, and manage customer engagement.
Why Take Climate Action
Every purchase leaves a mark. From manufacturing to shipping, the things we buy come with a hidden environmental cost.
abatify helps surface this impact—and gives you the option to balance it. Here's a glimpse of how some everyday items contribute to your footprint:
Organic Cotton T-Shirt
Estimated: 2.1 kg CO₂e
Leather Shoes
Estimated: 11.7 kg CO₂e
Smartphone
Estimated: 55 kg CO₂e
Coffee Beans (1kg)
Estimated: 15 kg CO₂e
What Are Voluntary Carbon Credits?
Voluntary carbon credits represent real, measurable reductions or avoidances of carbon emissions. These credits are created by vetted climate projects—like forest conservation, renewable energy, or clean cookstoves.
When you buy a credit through abatify, you're funding these projects. Each credit equals one tonne of CO₂ avoided or removed. We issue certificates, backed by the guarantee of retirement from reputed carbon credit registries.
Offsetting is not a silver bullet—but it's a meaningful action in the right direction. Especially when paired with smarter, lower-impact choices.
